May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. MOPH Department of California pays tribute to the generations of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders who have enriched America's history and are instrumental in its future success. For more than two centuries, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) have played an integral role in the U.S. Armed Forces, serving honorably in all branches of the military and fighting alongside fellow Americans in every war since the War of 1812.
